Yeah this blows my mind. My work laptops were pretty powerful with 16GB RAM 15 years ago, 8GB was also fine. Now people say you need 32 or 64 minimum just to function, that these 8GB MacBook neos are "entry level" for students and

Mistral has set off my stink test for a while now, they seem to be a "friendly EU AI provider" who are really an EU mouthpiece for regulation and stifling competition instead of actually innovating Edit: downvote if you want, but

If you browse the mobile website instead of the app, after 6 or 7 posts it says "LinkedIn is better with the app" and then hits back on your browser either taking you back to the top or to another website. This is a very effective

I started using tuta until I realised they don't support IMAP. Something to do with not guaranteeing encryption (which isn't even enabled by default) but has the convenient effect of locking you into their apps

The American system existing is a travesty both because of the struggles it gives Americans but also because it's used as a comparison to make the European systems look good. The NHS in the UK is an expensive bureaucratic nightmare and

Some chargers will re-negotiate depending how many cables are plugged into the adapter. Which is fine, but sometimes makes it tricky to know if it's the cable, the plug, or the number of cables causing a slow charge

The market desperately wants to replace wages and the idea of a machine doing the work you previously needed to do before is so enticing, and the initial results so promising, that the rest doesn't matter. Look at how many AI lay offs
