Yes they do. I wouldn't try it from a residential IP but as long as you run a blacklist check on the IP before you start, and configure DNS correctly, it's generally fine.

Do you run your email server? I run two, have next to no problems (the key is in setting up DNS correctly, as I mentioned) and keep getting told this by people who have never tried.

I'll be totally honest in that I don't know what the arrangement was before, but that free parking was previously enforced by permits so it's a reasonable assumption that it was not at the tax payers expense

Measures like this always seem unfair to me if they aren't announced a few years in advance. A car is a large investment and people may have made different choices knowing that the rules will change. Same with the tax per mile for Elec

Motorists are an easy scapegoat but without alternatives it's just political handwaving. And most people are motorists. Take my city for example. I work in an office block around a 15 minute walk from the centre, which has free parking

Is this not begging the question that 99 out of 100 were wrong? This totally depends if the aim is the solve problems or to reduce support costs - which are not necessarily the same thing. If only 1% of tickets ever got past level 1 then ok

I went for a senior sysadmin interview role and they asked me to debug a website in the browser that was only visible on localhost, ssh was available. They asked me to double check that part because they assumed I just hadn't done that

Most host/port services have the same issue, even https used to have it and it's the reason SNI was introduced. But if by implementation you mean sftp, then of course - it uses Ssh

Github has a similar system and just refuses to let you addthe key if it already exists. It's hacky but it's also obviously massively widespread.

Doesn't this require configuration at the end user, so you could just as easily ProxyJump or use a different port? It's a nice solution but I've been looking for something more transparent (getting them to configure an SSH ke

This is a problem I've come up against a few times. Enforcing a different key per server would also help solve it in their case, but really I just want a haproxy plugin that allows selecting a backend based on the public key
