I don't think Australia has the power to do that. The world is full of unhealthy things that we prohibit from children. It's a popular idea, with most people in favour of a ban for kids.

It's actually an attempt to block social media for children. There's no ulterior motives. It will have the consequence of deanonymisation but it's not an attempt to achieve that.

The greatest misconception about exercise is this "if you're tired your best course of action would be to abstain from the thing that will make you more tired" train of thought. Exercise doesn't always work like this. Ye

One thought experiment I always find myself having is that if this is the case, does it make any difference if the network is physically larger? Not necessarily more complex, just the distances signals have to travel is bigger, say planet s

D3 is great if you want to dynamically visualise data in your webpage. Maybe a bit niche but I wouldn't write it off this cheaply. I say this regardless of your js prowess - it is quite accessible.

Great read - the lengths the attacker went to to not only hide it but also build the trust to be able to pull this off is incredible. So calculated. One can only imagine they felt a great deal of panic and despair as the security community

I was somewhat interested in the story and then suddenly it became a we-work ad before it had any real wisdom to share? What on earth was that?

I'm not sure I fully agree that we should just sit by and let them be robbed, but the point you make about the government doing nothing is an interesting one as it would be great marketing against a disruptive currency.

So we have to put everyone who dares to imagine down about it? I see value in sharing a wild idea purely for the inspiration it may give others to think about things from a unique perspective. A lot of great science started as a strange id

While its probably totally wrong, I think your tone and general attitude to people throwing around imaginative and creative ideas is extremely unproductive and frankly rude. If you want to stifle creative discussions, this is exactly how yo

I don't feel deceived. The process is just different than I thought, but I also didn't even have a concrete idea of the process to start with. Good exercise in not blindly accepting things, which is arguably more valuable than a c

In the context of Australia, voting is mandatory if you're >=18yo. We also have very unusual tax laws around owning a rental called negative gearing- if you're a landlord and your rental property earns less than it costs to run
