Only somewhat related but I have a phone where the front camera mechanically pops up when it's used. I've noticed that by default, when I visit many websites, without notification the camera pops up and down quickly. After every F

Look into the p25 standard. I wouldn't know but I wouldn't be surprised it many agencies use it for digital/analog data and can probably be brute forced with cheap hardware. Search for p25 DES-OFB. Now would be a great time f

This is really neat. I logged in for a few seconds to check out the interface (should have taken a screenshot). The center of the meeting shows a large white square window and smaller colored squares indicating other meeting participants. Y

Thanks for this. Just finished coloring today's image. I haven't colored anything in at least 10 years. Great way to unwind a bit.

Funny that this is coming up. I just transferred over from Namecheap to Cloudflare a few days ago and had a similar issue. One of my A records (out of about 20) were missing after the transfer.

I have been a very happy user of Syncthing over Wireguard (connecting all my devices back home). Adding to that a VM of "OpenMediaVault" for NAS/Backup, PiHole to catch what Ublock misses, and music streaming via FunkWhale, I

This is rad! Is there an existing way to show adult content? Looks like the backend needs to click "I'm over 18" button.

I might be going the wrong way with that then. Using stegoveritas I noticed that PNG has a bunch of "ISO-8859 text, with very long lines, with no line terminators" files which isn't normal for PNGs.

Check the pngs across the domain. There is something special in at least one of them.

Ended up using makemime which showed the data in base64. Good enough! Interestingly enough though the ORME.flag showed permission denied... I'll have to go back to that one later.

Consider a slow cooker. I make a lot of lentil and other bean based things soaked in spices, broth, onions, etc. Lots of left overs and easy to set and forget. Tons of recipes out there too. Low effort and delicious.

There's a slight learning curve but I've been very happy with GnuCash. It supports multiple accounts and containers, has decent reporting, invoicing, categorizing, etc. I also really like that it's offline. https://

Does anyone have more info on this? From what I recall there are mirrored systems with duplicate CPUs, memory, flash, etc. In the event of issues with one computer, they failover to the second. Was this an issue with something on the "

Perhaps a few tweaks can be made to the platform to help ensure HN's "core values" (that sounds silly) are passed on to new users. For the most part there's always been a good herd mentality to negate the one off low qua

Just a thought but why hasn't Multicast or Reserved sections been sliced up further and added back into the pool? I'm guessing going back and making those addresses Internet routable would be very difficult at this point. Since MB

There's also Hyperion. You can do something similar (via screen capture). Here's a Pi running Kodi with Hyperion in the background. There's an Arduino connected over usb to the Pi collecting serial data and sending pixel data

I can speak to this a bit. Some pacers can be programmed to beep in certain situations to indicate things like, low battery. Alternatively you can set some models up so that when a magnet is applied, different programmable actions occur suc
