That's cool -- you should share a link! I've actually also been working on something just like this, which is why I asked for feedback with this. I'll post it on HN tomorrow via a Show HN so we can compare! For anybody intere

Thanks for the feedback! I'm asking about 1. and 3. 1. I have a theory on why VP sucks -- is it right? What do other people think? 3. Yes -- I'm looking for feedback, but in the context of why visual programming is no good. Also b

Is there interest in a cryptocurrency index fund? The idea is you could just buy an index fund composed of, say, 50% BTC, 20% ETH, 15% LTC and 15% ZEC. I'm fairly certain that one of these cryptocurrencies will 10 or 100x in value over

You "kill" vim by preinstalling a friendly text editor by default, like TextEdit or Notepad. Many of my technical friends (myself included) use vim, but vim will never be used by everybody, everywhere. When most people first get a

I think this industry won't last for very long. Mile-earning cards are dependent on merchants paying high fees. In most of the developed world, interchange fees have been capped (e.g. 40bp in the EU). Once that happens, these rewards c

Right -- I think this is a problem for many recent startups like Doordash, Postmates, and even Uber. Their pitch to investors that this was a land grab -- whoever conquers the two-sided marketplace first dominates it and extracts profits la

One caveat though: the Coursera ML course is CS229A(pplied), which focuses on applying machine learning, rather than the mathematics behind it. The "real" CS229 lectures are on YouTube [1], and go much more in depth. 1. http://www.youtube.
