Remote first with quarterly or less get togethers seems infrequently discussed, but I think that works pretty well. A hybrid where even one day a week is expected basically is in-office limiting.

Watch some videos of various factory production lines, or ag planting for example. Machines that feed stuff to humans that may feed more machines.

The stupid part is that profits are really not optimized by the enshittification profit campaigns - there is so much incompetence in isolated C-suites making these decisions.

The possible function of this report, as with the truck drivers, was to provide justification to companies to reduce the wages of the workers in the report. It provides a way to point the finger at a looming "threat" that they

Oh the town is big enough that there are 4-5 supermarket sites. It’s just that it’s vons, pavilions, Albertsons, etc all owned by the same parent company which has made the choice for all of us that we don’t need to actually fill shelves wi

Maybe in some respects the US is more open about its atrocities than other nations, e.g Guantanamo bay and our prison rate But we also not free to discuss secrets kept from us. And US is not lenient on whistleblower exposing secret lawbreak

If management cannot tell the difference between the output of one person doing the job, that's the fault of remote work? I disagree with that assertion. If the outputs are all that are asked of the job are being met, why do they care?

This is simply assigning remote work an outcome that happens all the time in office, and I think more often because in person there are fewer discussions about explicit deliverables or milestones.

I tried the new Reddit and it’s compact options near the rollout and a couple of times after; it wasn’t satisfactory. One was one of many reasons to keep using old Reddit and third party clients.

I think that looking further outside the system bounds for thermal reuse is the best. Eg use the heat waste (however that exits the dc) and sending it somewhere to do something useful. Heat homes in the winter or accelerate composting or so
