If I remember correctly, PR and Guam are the two places in the world where your income is exempt from federal income tax, if you pay local taxes. There are some exceptions to that. It's supposed to give some local autonomy to the taxat

Here's a local law where if you meet all the criteria (income made off the island, spend > 180 days per year here, various other criteria), you're exempt from income taxes here. And since you're a resident, all your income

Being in the middle of a process mapping exercise, what you describe would be a huge time saver.

You really have little respect for service workers, don't you? Many people in tourism actually like what they do. Others even see you as the sucker. I came her to agree with the gf comment. It may be partially geographic, as I'm i

If you don't see how these comments prove his points, you should reread over and over and over again until you do. Every analysis of "How the hell did he win?" that I've seen has basically been that no one else listened

Seems to me, as readers, we're less in need of 'Netflix for news' and more in need of either consolidation or decentralization in journalism. I have much less brand loyalty now than say 10 years ago. I have less respect for b

I think the point is that in the PR community it costs nothing. So the concept of having to pay to go to the beach is foreign to a Puerto Rican. So compare going to the beach in South Jersey, where you have to pay just to be on the beach, o

I find the biggest way you can improve your coffee is to get out the kitchen scale and weigh it rather than using a scoop/spoon to measure it. That makes a much bigger difference than grinding. I think there's lots of room for edu

For what it's worth, I recently compared orders using Instacart between a Whole Foods and Publix (in Miami if it matters). I chose equivalent items from each (I.e., if I got the organic version, that's what I got at both stores).

If you're interested in slow cookers, it's worth trying a pressure cooker as well or instead. I have a Beef Bourguignon recipe that cooks in 45 minutes and is superb.
