Sorry for being a buzz killer, but I think an old fashioned newspaper about Web Development is as good as a telegraph transmission about a phone conversation. I do follow Web Design/Development publications such as A List Apart, and I often

Yes, of course everyone is entitled to an opinion. I'm not saying they should shut up, I'm saying I'm baffled as to why they pick the core strength of the fastest growing companies and say "this is wrong". Perhaps it's that they are in the

I'm not sure why journalists (in this case, the co-founder of a magazine) feel qualified to criticize immensely successful Tech companies. There was a recent article stating that Google should push the Android Platform towards—guess what—an

I'm a designer and I understand what you mean. There are two different things going on here... 1. Design also has its own "architecture astronauts", people who theorize a lot but don't get things done. They are usually in academia, since th

The article—appropriately, perhaps—reads like a high school essay from a smart student. Grammatically correct, logical, structured but stiff. I guess the biggest thing that college gave me wasn't knowledge, it was a firing range where I cou

Nice! You can try to replicate the curves on this CSS3 easing tool I built: http://cssglue.com/cubic Not all curves are possible due to limitations in the CSS timing functions.

As of today, Google doesn't have a social platform to leverage +1. Without it, your upvotes are effectively going into a blackhole. Nobody will see them, so what's the point of upvoting and putting the button on your site?

Google is trying to throw it's weight at something it's competitors already do better. Even if it does catch on, we all lose with the social sharing craze that is littering the web. More clutter, slower loading pages, and gimmicks to get to

Edward Tufte does leave a deep impression. I stumbled upon his books in my university's library, about eight years ago, while studying design. Some years later—while going through files on my old computer— I found a pair of schedules. I'd d
