I would like to do the same, but most of my friends aren't even on Signal. There is no chance in hell that they buy a messenger.

And why exactly does Signal need to be a kitchen sink app? What's next, CandyCrush inside Signal?

Yes, open plan offices are horrible. No need to reproduce something just as horrible and intrusive when working from home. I would just turn both microphone and camera off; if somebody wants something they can message me, like a sane person

Or, you know, since I'm already working from home I can just not be in a "digital office". An open floor office is already bad, so there's not need to reproduce it. It's simply intrusive and unnecessary.

If anything Threema seems like the best alternative.

Being watched by all colleagues all day is extremely invasive. I would definitely not want to work in this environment.

Then those tasks absolutely need to be automated. If you can't even pay living wages in a poorer country then this isn't a task that humans should perform.

So, I guess you don't know why OP specifically asked about Racket: https://www.cs.utah.edu/plt/dagstuhl19/ https://beautifulracket.com/stacker/why-make-languages.html

Sadly, it also doesn't work with .net core yet. Otherwise this would be a pretty convincing point for F#.

There are quite a few languages I would like to use before Go. Especially F# seems very interesting for DS.

You can put it in a module, then you can change and reload in the repl without restarting.

> Java developers are rightfully conservative and sceptical of "new things". Highly ironic since Java was the hot, shiny, and new thing when it came out.
