An optimisitic interpretation is that mask wearing looked to have a plausible mechanism for benefit, and so as the situation ran ahead of the data, the public health officials probably made a best effort guess that mask wearing will probabl

my partner and I found ourselves in the 60+ zone and we have had some fairly wild pest interactions. spent about 8 months battling spider mites trying not to use commercial pesticides (we found a lot of plants don't tolerate them well)

At the start of the pandemic there was not much information on the effectiveness of public mask wearing to stop disease. It had been studied a tiny bit based on SE asian mask wearing cultures and the studies from memory were pretty inconclu

interesting. While I'm open minded to this, I have to say I am starting from a place of skepticism. I've come to view bike lanes painted on the road as a dangerous half-measure in most places. Studies show that Women do not take a

The red dot is quite bright, in a well lit area I don't know if I could distinguish it from a dim LED. On my carbon X1, there is an infrared camera or sensor right next to it, so in my case I actually have the IRlens and the dot adjace

Lenovo have committed a similar crime with their camera shutter design that includes the red dot from the thinkpad logo, totally ignoring that a red dot/light in the context of a camera has been used to indicate a recording state for a

I'd say this is cultural and you won't ever get the same outcome in the USA(or Australia where I am from). Car drivers think they own the road. In Australia there is outright hostility towards cyclists on the road from the proudly
