I don't know if you'd call it a bug exactly, but the fact you still can't name a file "con.txt" or "aux.bat" etc is pretty silly.

I had a bluetooth mouse and keyboard on my PowerBook G4 for two years before I even had wifi. It worked flawlessly. As soon as folks started adding wifi to their homes the mouse became unusable and the keyboard would occasionally miss key

I babied my iPhone 12 Pro by using an automation to turn off a smart-outlet at 76% charge. After a year I'm at 95% health, basically on par with everyone else. I've discontinued the automation and will just buy a new battery in a

If reddit ever dropped the old.reddit option, that would be the last time I ever use the site. They must know the new (several years old now, I suppose) layout is awful. I can't understand the rational. Maybe it cost a fortune to bu

I bought an LG G7 from Google Fi, and it was exactly 18 months from the phone's release to when they stopped updating it. I didn't buy it on day one either, so I got even less. I vowed that was the last e-waste phone I'm bu

FWIW, I'm using a Dell charger at home with a new 16" Macbook Pro and that works just fine. I think it's only 65 watts, but it's never been insufficient. Their website shows they're available in just a couple days.

I've been doing Rails for about 12 years and at our shop we have it down. `cap production deploy` and it's done. Essentially zero downtime for deploys. Some things I'd note-- * Don't use puma or unicorn. Phusion Passe

I went from AirPort Extreme -> Google Wifi -> Asus RT-AX86U. They all have their pros and cons but the Asus is immensely more powerful. I love that it can mount a large USB drive as Time Machine, and the wireless is so fast it'

I'd take the leap to 4K. It's time. :) I have my work Macbook Pro connected over USB-C and my gaming PC over Displayport. I just turn on whichever system and the monitor turns on and my keyboard, mouse, wireless headset etc come

I haven't had a chance to try yet, but I'm hoping some of the irb regressions that began around 2.7 are fixed. Try pasting an array or hash with 1000 or so elements. In 2.6.x it's instantaneous, in 2.7.x it can take minutes
