What a weird argument. First of all, it already happens today. People begging or doing drug just get in the subway and do that. Second, people can also do drug and beg in public parks. Should we add a fee to get into a public park?

Reminds me of a recent HN "article" where a daughter was writing in length about how her dad's suicide destroyed her life. "Desperate man commits suicide, daughter most affected."

Who are these people who want a puppy but instead of getting one for $60 at a shelter just wait for the chance to pay $10k to take one from its owner?

How many other countries are formed by a union of states governed by something similar to the 10th amendment? Always fascinating when non Americans can't understand that different places have different rules.

What is there to teach exactly? Turning right on red or left in a one way street is equivalent to a stop sign. At least that's how I see it. Am I missing some subtlety here?

I loved this game when I played it as a teen. I especially enjoyed the "real time" component they tried to put in it. Other passengers doing their thing, regardless of if you were in the room or not. You missed dinner because you

You don't need to talk for the 20 core hours. It's just time where everybody is supposed to be around if there is need for collaborative work. It's a maximum.

Companies should just have roughly 20 "core hours" in the week during which everybody is expected to be reachable for calls, meetings, chats, etc. And then just let people do whatever they want as long as they deliver.
