> You are doing the same thing again. You are assuming a level of "work just fine" without having a comparison for what it would look like with telemetry. Ignoring the privacy issues for a second, can you say definitively that

So why does $product need to send telemetry data via google? Why can highly complex software that runs most of the worlds internet infrastructure (linux) work without telemetry? Why is telemetry not opt-in or relies on reports in situation

thank you! I just found out i can opt out of this and did. However, selling anonymized data is better then selling non-anonymized data. Nevertheless, these carriers and the people who think this is in any way shape or form even remotely ok

No, in the EU it's a violation of your personal rights due to GDPR and in many EU Countries there are local laws that mirror this. This is very much an American failure to have democratic control over what large businesses do.

That's great news if any of these companies cannot or won't reply to your GDPR Deletion Request you can grab a default payment of at least 1k Euro just for that. Please name them, maybe i hit the jackpot with one of them

Try it, it could potentially work in Sway, i don't have a VRR card but multiple refresh rates on different displays works there

* Security Benefits, maybe! * No more screen tearing * Multiple Displays with multiple different refresh rates, on some compositors (sway can do it!) * HWVideo Acceleration for firefox (on some setups) * it can be faster in some situations

"your data" falls into at least elements and aws hands with this. Yeah the content is encrypted but there's lots of metadata to grab by malicous actors. The reality is 10$ for 25 Users would have been more reasonable. Enough

yeah that will probably work but since spotify is already sending a lossy compressed audio file, you'll still get some quality loss due to compressing it twice. Also seems really inconvenient, especially since i'd want to do this
