Congrats on the writeup Rahul, Sam, Martin, and team! My favorite part: "They invested over Skype, which was kind of cool, and we all got drunk that evening.”

If you founded the company with friends, then you should know this person pretty well and just be able to sit down and talk about it right? It sounds like its not quite to the point where it needs to escalate to the steps you're talking abo

Even though I haven't heard of it, just from the 439 watchers and 96 forks on Github, I'd probably look to it as an example of at least decent code. This is why I <3 Github - really great way to learn good coding conventions.

All of these bad gateways I'm getting from nginx don't give me a whole lot of confidence in this banking website =P I know it's early, but perceptions like that matter.

So do you think we'll move away from paper checks completely and just move around echecks from phone to phone? I've never really understood how checks are secure. They just have a routing number, an account number, and your signature right?

From their about faq page: How do I deposit checks? Take a photo of the check with your smart phone and send it to us with our app. Pretty simple, right? Is this really secure? I know there are some people doing cardreaders as an attachme

Interesting concept... doesn't have the crazy/high-novelty factor that chatroulette has, but using FBConnect opens a whole different set of possibilities - only connect to people with a certain shared interest, gender/age, or "Looking for"

Hmm, I hadn't considering wave as a bug tracking system. Our google doc spreadsheet was already too busy, so I can't imagine Wave making that any better. Really interesting idea though - maybe useful to organize team sprints/small projects.

I like to think of an idea as a seed or germ of the real idea. It's from the most important part - the founders, their execution, market & product positioning are all much more important, but this also doesn't mean that every idea is a
