I like it, gives you the option for older versions as well. When I updated my old browser and the look and feel completely changed, I had to go back years but I eventually found what I liked.

It works flawlessly for me on a really old version of foss browser for android. Very impressive compatibility. Most browser games posted here on hn do not work on it, and many websites fail as well.

All this to say... if they just standardized the existing romanization system as some default new learner experience, I cannot imagine people actually bothering to type the extra latin characters with accents and so on.

Learning Danish, I can't be bothered to write the extra non-latin letters. It is like 2 or 3 extra characters, not even technically difficult. I just accept that people can be confused about far-get and far-dad for example. With pinyin
