I've invented a few unsuccessful software products myself and worked on successful ones, too. I don't think it's any service to the OP to pull punches here. Anyone who invents a language is obviously bright and probably well

I see many downsides to mixing languages in a codebase, and no upside. JS and Python have eaten the world and can do everything every other language can do (something which is true of all languages because of Turing). There's not enoug

There isn't any evidence that surveillance-based advertising performs any better than context-based advertising. Remember, vendors didn't choose this method of selling -- platforms did. It's become a collar on all of commerce

What ended piracy for common films was not DRM or videocassette seizures but the offer of cheap tapes and eventually cheap streaming that made it simply "not worth it" to pirate. The same is true of video games where paid players

So the halting problem is solved? I don't think so. Let's continue to make software better without resorting to impossible claims.

Weights are just numbers and no use to anyone but the model maker. You're probably referring to the trained model , which OpenAI never sells nor shows to anyone. It is not available off-prem but only via an API. So early access to the

So far, it's pretty good. It performs the search, aggregates and summarizes the content, and gives nicely formatted output, including an inline video player in one example I tried[0]. In another search, I asked about an event from a fe

I remember these! The best feature is that they were recordable with the teacher's machine, so you could use them for any kind of text or graphic on the card with a Sharpie, and any audio on the mag stripe.

I saw the Altair 8800 on the cover of BYTE magazine in a newsstand in LA as a child and begged my grandparents for a copy. Reading that magazine changed my life and started my journey into programming.

In my experience, very few projects are really TS "all the way down." Since all valid JS is also Typescript, what really happens is that you're writing JS with a sprinkling of TS where it is helpful and nowhere else. A good

Streams that are not DRM protected can be saved directly by the browser or by free tools like VLC. It would be illegal to try and work around DRM, which is why there aren't easily available tools for that.
