Shameless plug: I made 20-things.com in order to try and make something like reddit but much slower. Limited to 20 things in a 24 hour period. Still work in progress. Fishing for ideas and feedback.

https://20-things.com - not counting on it to become anything, but as a learning sideproject, I'm glad I spent so much time developing it.

I am slightly concerned, yes. This is why I chose to host the fonts for my 20-things.com sideproject for as long as I can afford that luxury.

Was this created in order to track users across different sites or because google wanted to make the world a better place? :)

Shameless plug: I started building 20-things.com as a similar-feature community but with goal to never use dark patterns. More competition is good. I posted a Show: HN but it seems to have been buried/blocked as it got no attention wha

This is still very early stage (hoping to be able to launch in December this year) and many features are missing (such as threaded comments). The Frontpage is limited to 20 things and auto-scrolling (endless scrolling) is not used, hoping t

Any chance that DDG will not turn into Google if/when they grow too much?

That is also true offline. Does Debbie downer ring a bell, for example?

You need to learn how to give less fu*ks. Life is too short to be wasted on internet beefs. Get a hobby, go out more. Get real friends.

I started building a new cozyweb community. To join, users need a valid phone number. I hope that this will dramatically decrease spam and beefy interaction. I don't expect the community to be huge, but I'd rather have it cozy and

Thanks for the effort, but this link does not work. The host is not responding. Edit: sorry, my bad, cloudflare 1.1.1.1 resolves it as 127.0.0.5. Someone ought to check that out... Edit2: apparently this is a deep rabbit hole: https:/

What would the number be for an Interaction Designer?

I know at least 6 other devs (backend, frontend, mobile) who work in Zurich that don't make it past 110k with 5+ years of experience.

I built a machine which is now being prototype-tested by a government in Europe (law enforcement). How do you go about raising cash to build more machines and reach out to more governments in other countries?

The article had a several good points, but it tends to generalize. One statement was that devs are not under stress. He lost me right there.

Ironically, the website is down. Perhaps that bubble is only in his mind or maybe he should look into hiring a dev worth his while to look into that?
