These are so cool! I think you may have inspired me to buy a pen plotter! I also read your Medium article about programming for the plotter. Great stuff, thank you for sharing the knowledge and for making such a cool project!

The original Ballast Point was walking distance from my office. They had at most 6 taps. They started doing the additives much later, but it really got out of control when they got bought out.

San Diegan reporting in! It's gotten absolutely ridiculous. They have tapped out the "like eating a cone of pure hops" quintuple imperial IPA market, and now the trend is additives. Ballast Point and Modern Times are the wor

Bodysurfing Imperial Beach on a big day is some of the most fun you can have in San Diego, if you're into that sort of thing.

Yeah, but you're also still not saying it _is_ a cool achievement. It is. Period. Why not submit an issue or get involved with the project? It seems like you have expertise in the area that they would appreciate.

A 16 year old and her classmates built this. I'm sure your comment has technical merit, but man, give these kids some props!

There was something about the SR-71 Blackbird that really captured the feeling of the time. Whenever I drive the 215 past March AFB and see the one they have on display, it reminds me of the age of movies like Firefox and War Games.

An interesting take on war from a semi-modern perspective is _War Is A Force That Gives Us Meaning_ by Chris Hedges.

Thanks for sharing this. As someone who grew up in the 90's I definitely recall the resurgence of WWII nostaglia after Saving Private Ryan was released.

Very good point. It also underscores the rise of television, which imo contributed to the fracturing of society that has been most fully realized now via social media.

Oh definitely, I wasn't advocating for war, but I think it is it clearly something that attitudes changed about inexorably after Vietnam.

I watched Vietnam In HD (great series) and I came away with many of the same observations that you did. Do you feel like this was also a generation that missed their chance to be "men"? What I mean by that is that in all past memo

I feel like the solution to these problems might be to use something like rapid 3D printing technology to create and recycle the dishes or clothing. The dish machine would print using a biodegradable material that could either be recycled b
