Why would one assume that an explorer has connections to every node in the network?

I figured since for Reddit this functionality is provided by RES, for HN it should be HNES so I searched "hacker news enhancement suite" and found this [1] which does list "Ability to tag users" among its features. [1]:

Where does this get its data? Dash has close to 4,000 nodes but here it's listed with 27.

I tried to put the length of the video (5'37") and the name of the YouTube channel (SciShow) in the title but it got removed and left only "[video]". I wonder why.

How can they pay powerwall users $2 if they're not actually charging $2?

I would think that just charging $2/kWh during peak time would be enough to bring down peak load without using any batteries.

I also notice when typing a number it gets entered twice. So I'll type a 3 and get 33.

Invertible Bloom Lookup Tables. They're like Bloom filters but you can also remove elements and even reconstruct elements in certain cases. Useful for syncing 2 databases which are almost in-sync, by sending only a small amount of data

Chess on an 8x8 board is not NP-hard. That doesn't mean it's easy but invoking NP-hardness is kind of meaningless.

Ok, but regardless "too much" heavily depends on context. It can't be that x minutes is the correct amount of time to talk regardless of what you are saying.

I don't understand how it can know if you talk too much. 30 seconds can be too much if you don't have anything relevant to say but 30 minutes can be fine if you have a lot of important things to say. Does it transcribe what you sa

Calculating the circumference of a circle isn't the only thing pi is used for. And small errors at the start of a calculation can become big errors at the end. So I don't find this argument very convincing.

The problems we had were way way simpler than anything deserving an acronym. You'd think there was only one way to do it and yet it was not hard to distinguish plagiarism.

Well, the domain of the article is about ads, so for the article itself the title might make sense. But here out of context it became confusing.

I would buy this if it was dual SIM (nano+eSIM) but honestly iPhone 13 mini is still too big for my taste. No wider than iPhone 4 would be ideal for me. Fine if it's thicker to fit a decent battery. I'm currently using a Pixel 3a
