A hint towards their answer is when they said "(and sometimes even within the same city)". Because it's important to them to allow for non-location-based price adjustment, they simply leave it up to the user.

The article addresses this. Unfortunately the "teachers" were being paid mostly just to be strong opponents for the "students". So AI ruins their market. From the article: "the Go school recruits a professional pla

It's funny to think of developers and users as two distinct constituencies with distinct interests. I had thought any good developer, by definition, would do what's best for the user. Therefore the interests of both groups are t

This is like saying "Prisons are Buildings". Yes they are. So what? EDIT: Never mind, this paper is brilliant. EDIT2: Here's the point for my own future reference: to make a good Queue, you need a pile of parts. A reasonabl

I don't understand why people are putting moral dimensions on this business conflict. If you don't like Apple's platform or business practices, don't use it. All the users and developers are there by choice. Their alt

That number can't be interpreted without context — how many of the top 100 most highly cited papers are in the Lancet? If it's ~30 then your data point doesn't mean anything.

Fair questions. What fatality rate are you expecting for not-at-risk people? Is that risk of death acceptable to you? What risk of death should I expect, I'm a healthy 47 year old male. Is it 0.1% or 0.01%? The difference between t
