Particulary in starting calculus, after laying out the foundation of real numbers, exercises pretty soon start with determing limits, inflexion points, trends, and all. Sure, play with those at first by hand, but try to plot and play with t

Well, suggested solution of this problem seems kinda backwards to me. I'd much prefer something along the lines of what Stephen Wolfram suggests - offload computation to computers in the first pre-rigorous stage, which may enable building o

Well, if you had submitted it, I'm sure it would get frontpaged here. I just really wasn't aware of the revert and the git commit message sounded promising. [1] [1] http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=tasksel/tasksel.git;a=co...

All this bodes well for Xfce, which is already an outstanding effort. Nice to see it included in future releases of Debian as default, for some spotlight.

Though I agree with you on the assessment of the practical results of the judgment, I think that court ruling "damages" in such a way is far from perverse, and actually proper way of dealing with corporate entities. Everyone needs to be rem

If this is added newly, I can't believe they're still trying to pull judge by the nose. This is bordering pure effrontery, beyond any common sense damage control.

I've been using http://www.foobar2000.org/ for almost 10 years now. Though most of my music now is in the cloud, I always keep a heavily modded version of fb2k on my PC. This is BY FAR the best audio player available. I had some respect f

I personally have troubles with either iOS or Android around small width characters in variable width fonts (like ',il.;:). Fixed width font would help me greatly around those.

It still isn't precise enough (well, not unless you're selecting monospace font type), and even ignoring that, it's a level of abstraction extra, because you don't just click and get where you want in just one step.
