Well, even if you don't keep it in the cloud you don't really know if its 100% secure. And if you do "know" its 100% secure, you're wrong. So its just a choice of who you trust more - google, your own company, some other company, etc

I think its smart for Dell to move into the mobile business, but stick with what they do best, make the cheapest commodity phone on the market, have it run android, and profit off people replacing it every 6-12 months when it breaks.

Slow down, take what spare time you have and learn django or ruby on rails. Go through some tutorials, struggling and learning as you go. By the time you graduate you'll be so much more powerful, and glad you did.
