Saw the movie at showing at the computer history museum. Highly recommended.

Thanks for elaborating more. I think people who do performance work constantly rediscover or re-invent this (ie like the websocket post).

Thx - I respect your choice. In my situation, though, my dev env has to be a non-virtualized Linux OS with good gpu access.

It would be nice if Linux would avoid using any of the BIOS. I wonder if that is possible.

Paul probably has really nice internet access. Most people in the USA have really poor access for running services. I have constant problems with Comcast myself. One day when we have fiber and static ipv6, then we can run mail, IRC, Http, d

Truth - the only problem with those old terminals was the keyboard. They tended to not have the control key or ESC key (DEC terminals) in a nice spot.

I'm always interested in learning about things like this. For example, it was really neat to learn that the Intel SME ran the Minix microkernel. Or it was neat to learn that the Apple secure enclave was running the L4 microkernel.

I would like to buy SiFive’s unleashed dev board. It has everything I need: RV64GC, gigE, 8 mB ECC, and usb UART. I just won’t pay $1000. I wonder what the economics would have to be to get it to $300.

I briefly thought about the beginnings of this after looking at KVC. I pondered the dots vs slashes question, what a query would look like, and whether every object in a process could have a name. Fun to think about, but that is as far as I

I like the syntax. I also like the interesting direction you went with pattern matching selectors. That is a nice change and quite different from your typical Smalltalk or Objc code.

I cannot quite decipher Neel’s interpretation. The math syntax on his site isn’t rendering. Can you provide a simple explanation? This is interesting.

This is interesting. What chip do ESP12F's have for USB? I did a quick search and nothing came up. Most ESP8266 projects refer to the node mcu board rather than the module. Those boards usually have a USB <-> serial chip.
