Distributions are not breaking software, they are just distributing broken software. Blame upstream for lack of testing. Or create your own distribution of flawless software and keep it up to date and flawless for the rest of your life.

So, you deliberately chose distro intended for users, with low version churn, instead of distro intended for developers, e.g. Fedora, which ships even pre-release versions sometimes, and now you blame ... apt? Just curious, what you are usi

Data is cherry-picked. For example, if 60 000 people die because of Chornobyl radiation to 2005 (estimation from video) doesn't mean that they will stop dying after 2005. How many people will die after 2005? Video gives no answer. Also

Spacetime is defined as [x,y,z;t] - 4d array of data. > You sense spacetime directly too. It's what holds you do this planet we inhabit. Nope.

Aether is real again as Higgs field. Speed of light in vacuum is variable again (gravitational waves). Vacuum is no longer an empty space.

GDB, llvm, gcc, IDE, devel packages, etc. My distribution (Fedora) contains latest or prior version of rust, cargo, RLS, and clippy, which are updated as usual.

Distribution does integration. It's better to use a bit older version, but properly integrated with other parts of the system.

To my surprise, it works partially on latest stable Rust: #[non_exhaustive] #[repr(C)] #[derive(Debug)] #[allow(dead_code)] enum Foo { A = 0, B = 1, C = 2, } pub fn main() { let bar = unsafe { std::mem::tr

1) Enums in C are implemented that way, so C-like enums in Rust must implement it in the same way to be compatible with C. 2) This is required for forward compatibility. For example protobuf explicitly requires it. 3) Your code is not forwa

Sadly, it's not generalized enough to represent C-like enums in Rust, which can be declared as (in _theory_): enum Foo { A = 0, B = 1, C = 2, Unknown(i32), } where Unknown field cannot contain values 0, 1, or 2

Ok, let replace Hiroshima bombing with Fukushima disaster. Imagine that instead of 62 dams broken bi Nina typhoon, about 10 nuclear reactors were flooded instead. (We don't need a flood control when we use nuclear energy. Right?) How m

62 upstream dams were broken before Banqiao dam failed. No dam in the world is capable to stop 15 700 000 000 000 tonnes of water. The flood was catastrophic anyway. The primary responsibility of Banqiao dam is to control flood. Power gener
