So going forward Facebook endless buys companies to try and prop up its user base? I suppose that could work to some extent, since Facebook knows how to monetize.

Glad I took computer engineering in an ECE department. Although I'm not really that surprised at these results as let's face it, the centre of electronics hasn't been the US for some time.

With the Canadian dollar going back down against the US dollar labour is even cheaper. It's annoying as a worker that salaries for IT in Canada lag the US, but good for companies.

As a McMaster engineer, that was cool to see the Iron Ring clock on that page. I knew it existed, but forgot about it until I clicked.

It's interesting that Canadians are moving as much as ever. But then Alberta looms considerably larger for Canada than North Dakota does for the US.

I wish Oildrum.com was still around. They would probably point out that these gains aren't that sustainable as the wells have relatively large drop off rates.

Tuition is $12000 now? I graduated from Mac in comp eng in 1996 and I think it was getting to around $3000 then. Definitely worth it, but if you told me at the time I would have thought $12000 was crazy. I graduated with no debt though.
