I was surprised to find my old PC with a GTX1080 could transcribe/diarize about 10x faster than my m1 Mac. If anyone reading this is looking to transcribe 100s of hours of audio, do the extra work to get it set up on desktop with a ded

I think we need to be careful with the language like “this is what the users want” when something along the lines of “this is what triggers of pattern of compulsive behavior in users” is closer to the truth

The store might want to know that but not the cashier. “Did you find everything ok?” is small talk and if you try and answer it’ll be as jarring as if you gave a real answer to a stranger who asks “hows it going”

It’ll be nice if an institution finally decides to oppose some of the recent government overreach. It’s really shocking to see an institution in our country take action that is not in its immediate financial best interest (assuming this let

Many of the most wealthy and powerful people in the country hate the government and try to sabotage it or suborn it, so its not surprising when the quality of government services suffers.

As humans, our culture and personal beliefs guide how we interpret things in our lives. Depending on your views, the same childrearing experience can be noble and beautiful, or senseless and ugly. It seems to be a relatively new development
