I thought I liked small phones until I got a large one. Now I can't go back. I haven't tried folding yet but may feel the same about it if I ever do. That said, I have long fingers and can easily use the largest phones with one ha

I'm not attacking you. The way you're responding implies a lack of knowledge. None of us can understand everything. I have plenty more to learn about LLMs as well. Repeating specifics that others have already tried isn't goin

Self replication is trivial. All you need to do is copy the files and run it, just like any other computer program. LLMs have been capable of doing that for a while now. It's not a real concern.

Based on your replies in this thread you seem to have only superficial knowledge about how machine learning and LLMs work. I strongly recommend you invest some time in learning how LLMs are built and function. If you truly think this is apo

Why would a road or route be blocked from OpenStreetMaps? That doesn't really provide any security if the area is public.

I do agree it feels different but there is still a lot of interesting and exciting tech innovation. OP is about the same age as me so my list will be from my lifetime. * Lithium batteries. They are one of the most important innovations of o

I don't understand why you were downvoted. There is no excuse for them to not have local copies. In the context of video production 55TB is nothing. They must have local storage that's significantly larger than that already.

This isn't a safety issue, it's LLM companies trying to be opaque and stop distillation.

Cheap 5% beer is still available but there is an increase of availability of higher ABV beer. For example, when I was younger grocery stores didn't stock anything but the big national brands. Now they stock far more variety, much of it

What you're suggesting is that all Mexicans suffer more because some money may somehow end up in the hands of the cartel. And that, for some reason, the US should help do this. That's absurd. If you really want to eliminate the ca

What's with big tech companies changing all searches to be fuzzy? FB Marketplace is now like this too. It's impossible to search for anything, it gives unrelated results at least half the time.

It is. If the price suddenly goes up that much they need to be sending very clear warning emails about the price increase, with the subject clearly saying so. Something like "Alert: Upcoming Domain Renewal Price Increased to $3000"

Where are you getting that from? It's a productivity tool. Someone who knows what they're doing can leverage LLMs to improve their productivity. Someone who doesn't know what they're doing will be able to increase their
