Back in time ( end of January ) when I heard the news about Wuhan and what happened there I was a bit worried, but always positive. When the virus spread in Italy ( I live in Berlin ) I was daily asking "Why don't they stop people

So where do you store the ones that should not allow to be refreshed? How short lived they should be in case of "Reset Password" scenario, when you need to kick out malicious user?

Sadly this won't work when you read code online. GitHub shows comments gray, as well as StackOverflow. This makes one step in the right direction - movement to highlight the important things, rather than everything.

First thing I usually change in a default syntax highlight theme is the color of the comments. I make them green, instead of gray. This makes my code ( IMHO ) much more readable. Also the comments ( when taken into consideration by the deve

My 5 cents. Fitbit discontinued one of their best products Fitbit Flex 2, which I'm still using. It's a 50 bucks rubber band with 1 week battery life that tracks sleep & steps. I don't really know why they cancelled it bu

That’s an amazingly useful thread. My 2 cents regarding the tech stack : 1. Don’t use a build system. Use scripting language that comes preinstalled on Debian / Ubuntu. Peel 5 is still my weapon of choice for robust small web apps. Loo

Well I guess this means that if you have a 1k+ lines of static JSON, it would be better if you consider converting it to a string and use JSON.parse instead. I'm not sure I can find a use case of such a big object declaration. Usually

My Apple Watch ( Series 1 ) is still alive and working quite well. It lasts for 8-9 hours if I don't use the heart rate monitor, while doing sports. I think at this point I could say that my Apple Watch is not "all-day" batte

I would assume sleep tracking would never be a feature. You need to charge your Apple Watch every night, so that's off the limit. I use Fitbit Flex 2 to track my sleep and I wear them both during the day, however during the night only

Funny story. Most blogs I follow via my Reeder [0] ( actually best app I've ever used for (i|mac)OS ... no, I'm not affiliated with the app ) are ones that end up on HN. It's funny but my RSS feed currently is 30% HN / 3

Hardest part to get rid of jQuery was the $.ajax function. Happily now, we can all use the fetch API with some extra polyfills, but pretty much that's it. `el.insertAdjacentElement`, really? Yeah if you carry jQuery thinking with you,
