Really nice, though these days flexbox should kill libraries for that. Also I hate when you have fixed break points. Sometimes you need elements to be visible hidden on different screen width and frameworks like this limit the ability to ch

It doesn't matter. Just choose tabs or spaces per project and be consistent. If you join a project already using tabs / spaces and you wanna switch, don't bother doing that.

Thank you. Pretty good list of dev blogs to put on my RSS feed. For the inspirational books / articles, I usually get too excited and loose my reality check when I read them.

These days, based on the requirements I would suggest using CSS Modules [1]. On the other hand if this would be an overkill ( small landing page ), then basically whatever you would choose it would be okay, because rewriting the stylesheets

I agree. Unfortunately I thought the same was with GitHub's "private repositories are paid" idea, until they switched to unlimited ones. Anyway as a friend of mine says : "GitHub is Facebook for developers", so I gu

Well that's right, but at one point you're bound to heroku service. Your app will be so deeply configured to work with heroku that migration will take you a lot of time. With AWS at least you pay cents and then dollars when you sc

Where's the boundary between boilerplate and framework? I think people have hard times pronouncing framework these days, because it sounds offending in terms of learning curve. Why would you spend X amount of days to learn a framework,

CircleCI rocks. The combination of Unlimited private repos on GitHub & 1500 free build minutes on CircleCI works just great.

If anyone here is using TypeScript, a couple of months ago I wrote type definitions for umzug [1]. Also if you use sequelize as ORM they go hand in hand. 1 : https://github.com/DefinitelyTyped/DefinitelyTyped/blob

Why companies still use a Mac for their headline stock image, when they don't even have the Mac app ready. Other than that nice idea.

Why bother, when you can just use npm private modules? It doesn't cost a lot (7$), it follows semver and it doesn't involve additional configuration.

Freelancing in Berlin since 2 years. Seems like 400-500 pounds a day is the average rate. In Berlin, normal freelance rate is ~ 50 eur/h and again it is way higher than 40-60k + 0.000N percentage of a startup. A bit sad, because lots o

Wow. Companies definitely suffer. For me ( freelancing dev, working primarily with startups ) it's a huge win. GitHub vs BitBucket was always about : 1) 3rd party integrations ( CircleCI - e.g. ) - sadly bitbucket is behind that. 2) Is

I will be pretty happy if I see non-ES6 code if it is properly structured and documented well. Nevertheless if I see people has just replaced `class` with `jQuery.extend` or with some other helper tool it would be a downside. Also we are ta
