At it's current rate of fulfilling the queue, I can expect to be invited in about 30-50 days. Looks like a decent app, but no thanks. If this is a marketing ploy, it might backfire on them.

Given their market capitalization and their trophy cases full of design awards, I'd think otherwise. It may not be concrete logic working here, but I think using Apple is a rough rule of thumb is probably not the worst thing.

How wide is the fixed-width website that a desktop monitor cannot display it?

This is truly awful for the US market. May make sense in Asia, but I can't think of a single relative who would buy something from here. Buy.com was at least a somewhat trusted name; this is just asinine.

I'm 30, and just entering the Planner phase of my career. I can see where a few years down the road I'd be in a similar position. My percentage of time coding has dropped to 5% or lower, and I'm already itching to learn something new. Looki

Indeed, and decent products at that. I've enjoyed all but a few of the OXO products I've bought, which is more than I can say for a few of the Quirky products I've bought (pivot power for one).

This assumes that those .js files on Mega will stay the same for those 2.5 years (or semester). Much more likely is that those files will be updated somewhat regularly, and any attempt to collide a specific hash will be rendered irrelevant.

This is not too far from my own salary in a rural-ish area, my wife making half that as a teacher. We budget and manage our money carefully, and are indeed happy; we never disagree about money. When I was in major debt, I found I was consta

My prediction: burner phones or Google Voice leads to some very bad scenarios. Stick with blind dates from friends.

Yeah, this is my typical feeling on it. I think they do have a use case (primarily as an image slideshow for something unimportant like a header image), but they are way overused these days. But, I'm not a designer, so they may know somethi

I've been involved with 8-10 medium scale web apps (50-60k visitors/month), and we put analytics on every clickable element. The carousel buttons are maybe only hit by 2-3% of people. We saw conversion rates increase by an average of 4% whe

Non designer here. I like the overall design, but I do have a few things I'd personally change (nit picky, might not change my desire to click through): 1) The top screenshots coming into foreground is a nice touch, but something seems chop

This is very good. As much as I like the movies for movies, I've always been uncomfortable with the Galadriel scene and the portrayal of the ring as necessarily evil. Reading this, he put words to those gut feelings. Even so, I plan to see

Agreed. Business is full of enough passive-aggressive behaviour, no need for more. Either punish it with a real punishment, or ignore it. The best way to handle the meeting situation is to simply start making decisions without them. Eventua

I use terminals, but not dumb terminals. I use terminal emulators on a modern OS on which I am able to install any editor I want. I have emacs/vim installed, but I use them maybe once every few months. There are better editors for what I do

Just because Lean is the buzzword of 2012 doesn't mean it's the right way to do it. This comment wouldn't have made sense two years ago, and probably won't make sense two years from now. Seems a little wrong to say that because it's not Lea
