I'm vegan, but our numbers are so vanishingly small, we're a distraction in this conversation. Essentially the ~entire market for these products is meat eaters, and I don't believe meat eaters care about what they're eat

People would notice. There needs to be meat in there so customers can worry about food poisoning and complain that it isn't cooked exactly the right amount, regardless of how it is cooked. It is part of the burger tradition.

I would posit that the climate and the season matter enough to be a solid moral distinction in this case. Civilian lives depend on gas and electricity in all scenarios, but they depend on them ~much more in a Ukrainian winter.

TLDR; they reprocess natural silk from silkworms to produce silk fibers with better tensile strength. This is partly achieved by doing a better job of washing out non-strong compounds from the fiber, so the yield is strictly lower than that

This is also starting from the assumption that calculus is not fun. It's where a lot of seemingly disconnected mathematical ideas suddenly come together like a beautiful puzzle.

Environmental conservation laws should be considered a matter of national security. We need to mobilize the military industrial complex on the side of the environment before everything dies.

We need a state of climate emergency to just ban some needlessly destructive practices, ideally globally. Mowing lawns is something we can just decide not to do. Meat and dairy we can just decide not to do.

How would the Russians react? Would they launch extra nukes just to be "safe"? Maybe we should build a weapon that ~enhances the yield of their nukes, so that they figure sending one is enough!

Besides giving a block of code a name, functions also reduce the scope of the data the code can possibly be acting on. They also introduce a namespace that lets symbol names focus on locally relevant information. How did this huge refactori
