I'd not seen this presentation before, but was just pleasantly surprised when I saw my own screenshots on slide 15! Interestingly, while Twitter instantly suspended the account I used to demonstrate that, it was many months later that they

A cursory Google search would seem to imply it begins with a "T"? You might wish to reconsider the depth of your anonymity.

The source for one version of LOIC can be found on GitHub: https://github.com/NewEraCracker/LOIC/ A quick skim-read of the code mentioned in the post shows that this version seems to be different, specifically: https://github.com/NewEraC

Google's cache has a forum thread on the site, which I suspect led to the creation of the page linked above (which isn't yet cached) http://www.google.com/search?q=cache:www.woodmann.com/forum/...

Exactly. Everyone defending this feature seems to miss that point entirely. If I set up my work email on my iPhone and was offered the following options: POP3 IMAP Exchange What would I choose? With those options, one has more "f

Are the map pins ever cleared? As I continue typing a long place name, I can see the 'shadow' behind the pin getting darker and darker with each keystroke. It's 'neat' but I don't think it's useful, per se. Possibly no more or less useful t

True, but if the rear lights suddenly stopped working then you'd expect the manufacturer to replace those under warranty regardless of what you did to the engine, wouldn't you? Note that I'm not necessarily saying Apple have done anything w

As the bug report mentions, the sleep(1) call appears to be wrapped in a #define that (I assume) won't be active in normal OpenSSL builds. At least in v0.9.8o (the only one I checked) the only references I see are: ssl/s2_pkt.c: #ifde

Interesting post, thanks. I find 512-bit RSA keys interesting because they seem to be in occasional use but are within the realms of amateur factoring. From my limited experiences of smaller keys (high 400-bit range) I'm actually slightly s

Ah, thanks. To be honest, in the UK in my experience the "within a few hours" thing only seems to apply when the transfers are between accounts at the same bank. Transfers to other banks are the same process, they just take days; especiall

Oh, possibly. The entire conversation with Apple was based around the author of the post purchasing an application though. He repeats that point several times. Perhaps the situation has been clarified since then.

That's not what Apple say (if you believe this blog): http://ursecta.com/wp/2009/08/anything-but-games-are-illegal... A quote from one of the linked articles (The Register) at the bottom: "Apple is reminding customers that applications so
