It's the same in Brazil. All toilet paper goes into a small trash can beside the toilet.

I cracked the screen on my Samsung tablet. The local repair shops wanted more than 200$to fix which is essentially the same price as that tablet brand new. I bought a kit on Ebay and fixed it myself for 30$ and 30 minutes.

Cool story, but I'm still not totally sold on 3d printers. Could you not achieve the exact same effect with traditional arts and crafts like origami? I'm sure if you want to spend 75+hours building a bouquet, an origami one would

I also found that to be an awesome little tidbit. Just human nature I guess... "I wish it wasn't like this! But it's the most convenient so click click click!"

I am not torn on this at all. You are 100% right. If you send a link like this as a reply, it's super rude and unnecessary. I feel super grateful to be in a position where jobs hunt me instead of the typical bs in every other field of

I'll preface this with saying that I own two cars and in general like cars. However, I think personal motorized transportation along with industrialized animal farming are for me among the two biggest evils that arose in the last centu

I've always wondered about the legalities of such things. How is it okay for a company to legally sell a hack of another company's technology? Is it because they only sell to the police? If this is okay, then where is the actual l

Ok. I think that would be incredible to have a website where you could just search for projects and features within projects then just get paid per PR to implement that specific feature/bug fix.

I could be misunderstanding, but is this also supposed to be a database of "clients" looking for devs or no? Basically, I'm missing the link between clients and devs. Like if I have a few spare hours here and there to do some

I feel like productivity could be gained by having more specialized developers going forward. Instead of expecting every programmer and new hire to be a master of everything and anything, hire a specialist. I think it would be awesome if ev

Getting manual transmission with all of the other bells and whistles is pretty tough as well in North America. As soon as you want a package that isn't the very basic, in comes the automatic.

I actually have a xps13 dual booting Ubuntu and Windows. It's gorgeous, fast and portable. The only thing that sucks is the track pad, but I mainly just dock it anyway so it doesn't annoy me too often.

I didn't quite understand why this is guaranteed to reach every pixel coordinate? Is there something inherent about LFSR that generates complete sequences within the cycle? So elements are never repeated or omitted?

As far as I understand, NN is used here to find patterns which discriminate between sample cohorts (healthy vs disease). Peak finding gives you a list of peaks, but it doesn't tell you which of them discriminate between cohorts.
