I have regularly seen a lot of "advice" to lie on your resume. I don't take it and I advise against it. However, there are folks who swear to high water that lying on the resume is the only way to get a job.

I recall reading how there are people in the world who conflate Facebook with The Internet. The only Internet they experience is through Facebook. They have have no idea about what is outside Facebook's garden.

This came to my mind as well. I've worked on satellites in clean rooms and have also had cause to change the bulbs in my car's headlights. The packaging on the bulbs made it clear that touching the glass was not good.
