sounds like knighthood titles and special last name salutations (I don't speak Polish, but my understanding is that last names ending with a "tzky" indicate some royal/lord designations). Some of these are transferrable.

I got to the onsite, day-long, interview stage at Google (about a year ago). It's been awhile, but I do remember they asked some VERY real world questions, ranging from lists related traversal questions, to "how would you implement xyz."

doesn't even load up well in Chrome. Pictures are all jumbled up. To "fix," one needs to scroll down with the arrow key, then scroll up with the arrow key. Then, it looks as intended. Considering Chrome is taking market share very quick

can anyone speak of the value of getting a 6-7 year old technology-related book (aside from reminiscing about this and that)? Are readers of HN really the audience for this book (people who, at least in theory, are do-ers, go getters, etc)
