Isn't the derision in your original comment about people trying to pursue this a little hypocritical in that case? Sounds a bit like "This guy and rich dudes wanting to live forever are so cringe. Sign me up though." (Edit: J

Thank you for considering take-home evaluations. I much prefer them to any kind of whiteboarding scenario. Whenever I've done take home assignments, what's worked well for me was putting them into a "hidden" GitLab repo.

This answer by a GoLand team lead seems like a nice overview of how it detects interface implementations: https://stackoverflow.com/a/62386775

I use Go interfaces fairly often, not least for easy mocking for testing scenarios. Not having to explicitly declare what interface a struct is to implement has never been an issue for me. Modern IDEs provide this information (I prefer JetB

Pretty sure my version is a standard RoboRock S7, only with the "Ultra" base that also cleans the mop. I might have lucked out with the cables so far. Fwiw I do try to clean the floor of clutter a bit when I know I'm going to

The part that makes it more expensive is the "Ultra" base. The unit itself with an equivalent base to that of my Roomba is about 200 USD less expensive than the Roomba where I live.

I recently went from a Roomba S9+ to a RoboRock S7 MaxV Ultra and it was like night and day. The RoboRock has not gotten stuck on a single cat toy, cable, or sock yet. It doesn't bump into furniture repeatedly. It is considerably quiet

I am glad that you are building this. Often websites are built for a US market and then try to shoehorn EU usage into it. Sometimes that works, but aside from things like currency issues you also often end up with a user base/community

My cats. I bought them eight years ago and despite some really hard times and them pretty much being a money-pit, they've made me happier than anything else I've ever bought.

I think this is highly personal, and for me it's Go. I just always have fun when I write it. I have fun with other languages as well, but if I had to pick one that "brings me joy" the most, it'd be this one. I love the s

Not denying that caffeine addiction is real, but I also think "lack of coffee" has become a sort of blanket excuse for just being sleepy or not fully energized, regardless of the actual coffee intake. It's a common thing to j

I had a Zenfone 6 and loved the reversible swivel camera. It resulted in a consistently nice picture quality regardless of whether I was taking a vapid gym selfie or a picture of my cats. I feel like that was the only real unique selling po

I am horribly inflexible _except_ for this one thing. As a kid we used to always play and rest in a deep squat position, and it just stayed that way growing up. It's still my default resting position on hikes or at the gym. As a result

I feel like I'm too wired during the day to take naps. I'd just be lying in bed thinking about whatever I need to do next for the duration of the "nap"; not enough time to fall asleep. At my old office we had nap rooms.

This looks really cool. No reason to switch from my self-hosted Hugo setup, but if I was just starting out with blogging I'd be happy to have this available vs the bloated Wordpress site I started out with in the beginning.
