I also bought the iPad 1 and was similarly burned. The iPad 2 however has had tremendous longevity. I think the iPad 1 came out just one generation too early.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around it after having read the "Getting Started" guide. How do you handle async items, like service calls? Do you perform them in your reducers or elsewhere? How do you represent persistence

I saw someone post this googleblog entry over a month ago on the Freenode ##re channel. Then it was quickly taken down again. I guess they must have pulled the trigger a little early.

It can take awhile for things to "click" with Vim before you really understand it. Start by reading this StackOverflow answer[0] titled, "Your problem with Vim is that you don't grok vi." Like that poster states, wh

I was curious to read about any proposed successor protocols there are for SMTP that offer end-to-end encryption. It looks like Dark Mail might be one of the forerunners in this regard?

Speaking of e2e browser extensions, does anyone know what the status of Google's "End-to-End" chrome extension[0] is? They started the project in June of 2014 and the development pace on the project has been somewhat slow. I

Gruber brought up how in Apple Maps, if you suggest a correction, you are eventually informed when the fix is made. However, with Radar, it is just a blackhole. You file your report and an awful lot of bugs, no matter how well written or e

If you listen to episode 146 of The Talk Show, John Gruber brings up this exact point to Eddy Cue and Craig Federighi (question starts at 48:15): https://daringfireball.net/thetalkshow/2016/02/12/ep-146

He did touch on this point. He said that no matter what the outcome if this case is, real encryption is still just an app away. He then listed several 3rd party encryption apps.

Did you release your public IPv4 address? This isn't done automatically and I believe it is billed at 0.50€ per address while you are "holding on" to an unused address.
