The TikTok spying is probably irrelevant since most TikTok users are teenagers. I was surprised when Putin went ahead and actually invaded Ukraine since I didn't see the cost/benefit justifying the invasion. Putin had a war chest

I admit that I haven't personally used Darling but it would be rather pointless if it only worked for commander line apps. All command line apps I use on MacOs X are from homebrew and are available in Linux so for me it only makes sens

It's not black or white, I love CLI and I use git CLI and SSH, I use tmux, vim etc, but to diff two branches or perform a code review I prefer my IDE (IntelliJ Idea) or a Pull/Merge Request on GitHub, Gitlab or similar

I agree that oh-my-zsh can have performance issues, but I recommend using prezto instead, which is much faster. I also recommend the theme powerlevel10k although that is more subjective. You can further customize it on .zshrc local
