It's a disturbing dystopian thought, cows packed in narrow, closed locations, with a VR to make them think they're in a idyllic field. They would effectively be in the same situation humans were in the Matrix...

I'd say companies usually have a budget for a given position. If you ask for a salary way higher than the budget they can't match it. If it's a bit higher than the budget and they need your skills I suppose there can be some

You can use epics, stories ad tasks to group issues that have the same overarching theme, like a feature. But if you just do feature tracking how do you handle bugs?

I would say that depends on what technologies and/or web servers you want to use

Years ago I was using a Word document for my CV but every time I wanted to update the style it was a pain. I found a command line tool that I have been using for years which allows to decouple data (json) and presentation (web technologies

Fruits are not free food in terms of dieting, as they have a lot of sugar (fructose). Bananas in particular are very rich in sugar so are best avoided when on a diet.

I looked at the author's blog financial samurai and my impression was that all articles, including this one, were designed to sell the idea of investing in houses in what it calls the heartland of america with a crowdsourcing platform

I kind of agree with you. From the README.md: Presidio (Origin from Latin praesidium ‘protection, garrison’) In Spanish sounds like prison, or related to prison. An inmate can be called presidiario. Same root as the latin presidium.

I wanted also a small, energy efficient server for CI at home. I was looking at SBCs (Single Board Computers) like Raspberri Pi and now others. Most are ARM based and max out at 2Gb or 4Gb RAM. I ended up buying an Odroid H2, which is x86 a

You made some very good points. I still think you can achieve a reasonable level of security with something like Qubes. No computer is unhackable but hacking a computer requires time and money, so it's a matter of if it's worth it

Ask HN: Would it be possible to reimplement Qubes OS but lighter?
