It’s not a case of “try harder”. My only point was that emotions run through all human interactions. That’s how it actually is. People very, very frequently make decisions based entirely on emotion and then produce a logical argument post

I don’t really understand how reStructuredText’s approach fixes this. The fundamental thing is that you need to remember the order and the syntax. reStructuredText matches the order of Markdown (and so does not match html) but not the synt

1. Seems unavoidable because there is no natural order for these two elements. It happens that html puts the link first but any time I’m writing I would put the link second. 2. I guess that’s fair. I think parentheses in urls are a bigger i

That asciidoc format also seems very reasonable. The big issue isn’t specifically that markdown is wrong or right but that all these different systems are very inconsistent.

Unless your database is immutable, every changed a record causes a “disappeared fact”. There are many legitimate reasons to delete data. The decision to retain data forever should not be taken lightly.

America already has more guns than people. How many more do you think it would take to solve our current problems? It’s also very disingenuous to pretend that tighter regulation implies disarming everyone.

PHB is Dilbert’s boss, yes? That’s front line manager, first level manager, whatever. By definition a middle manager has managers above and below them.
