AWS offers the building blocks for this sort of thing via Elemental Media. MediaConvert will transcode videos to various formats (MP4, HLS, MPEG Dash, etc). MediaLive does on the fly transcoding for live streams, allows you to select variou

I would imagine it's more for things like illegal content (i,e. child sexual exploitation) as opposed to people being "mean". But I'm sure abusive behavior is a component.

So they shouldn't report news that is slightly downbeat? Even though the JOLTS report is reported... monthly?

That's a fine question. I don't know the answer to it. Obviously our system admins take security seriously.

I find this personally interesting. I work at the national center for missing and exploited children (ncmec), and in the exploited children division (ECD) we build systems to accept reports from internet companies, do analysis and send repo

Thank you for the thorough reply. I do own another Felleisen text (Realm of Racket) that I do intend on reading. And I'm sure, since it's free, I will at least look through HtDP.

While I haven't read HtDP, I've read similar things. I'm in my late 20s going for a second BS (this time in comp sci), and wanted to go through SICP on my own (plus the online lectures). I felt that I needed a bit of a warmup

U.S. debt will still be among the safest assets (as opposed to the safest, which it still could be). Edit: I don't think that defaulting on or debt wouldn't lead to catastrophic consequences. Nor am I an economist.
