   Because valuing an idea as "good" or "bad" is difficult and largely subjective? His point maybe would've been clearer if he'd said something like "Coming up with workable/interesting/possible ideas is easy."

   A friend of mine couldn't sell to a great offer a few years ago because it was blocked by the VC and the company died a slow death. I guess anything in life is a gamble and this is no different.

   Its a cool enough idea but what's even more interesting is the extent that 2 behemoths of programming blogs being behind something like this will help it be a success.
