A personal data point: lowercase Cyrillic is not more pleasant/expedient to read than uppercase. Lowercase letters in Cyrillic are mostly squashed down uppercase. Latin lowercase is much more pleasant in comparison.

Digitalization and disembodiment per se do not decrease my contentment. After all, touching and holding an great piece of engineering that is a computer or a phone is not that different from touching and enjoying any other physical object.

That's the reason why typical Linux (or Unix) filesystem comes with a setting to set reserve some space for root account. Doesn't help if the disk is filled by processes running as root, of course.

GPU and display controller are two different pieces of hardware on M1 (and on most of computers out there except PCs), so GPU driver won't change anything.

M1 boot sequence requires some code to be installed on the system. Once the execution jumps to the bootloader the rest can be run from anywhere, such as USB stick. It still requires adding a new partition with bootloader and some other file

USB4, Thunderbolt, audio over Thunderbolt, DisplayPort, TouchID. I'm not sure mike and camera work. Also various accelerators: video decoder, video encoder, neural engine. Unless I'm mistaken all of it is in progress, but not yet
