Disk speeds have increased greatly in the last 7 years. Compare an 80gb 7200rpm hard drive from 2005 to a 1tb 7200rpm drive from now and you'll see a very large sequential read/write speed improvement.

Cortex M3 is an excellent microcontroller, but not much more. It critically lacks a memory manager, meaning it can't run Linux or other full-featured operating systems. You also run into severe memory/flash limits.

Likewise, I keep all my git repos backed up to Time Machine. As long as I'm at my desk, I can never lose more than an hour's worth of work. I don't think I'll ever understand git well enough to solely rely on it.

I'm a college student, and pay cash for nearly everything, so I have very little credit history. After trying 3 or 4 merchants earlier this year, I still couldn't find one that would accept me, even with my father co-signing. Stripe is good

Correct. The ARM M series doesn't even have floating point hardware. The M3 is intended for real-time, low power applications, and is indeed a fantastic replacement for 8 or 16bit microcontrollers.

Despite Microsoft's what late entry into robust virtualization, they've really put together a solid product quickly. I've found it much easier to use casually than KVM or Xen, and the Linux support is surprising quite good. The integration

It's too much if they're going to a public school. And it's more like 22 years, since all of the money isn't needed at the second they turn 18. If you want to give your kids a full ride experience at a private school, of course it's going t
