Earmuffs work well too. I use these: http://www.homedepot.com/catalog/productImages/1000/14/14841... I get some pain after 30 minutes so I take them off for a bit and then wear them again.

The first thing that jumped out at me when I was reading this was: "wow, this guy is devoting as much if not more energy to marketing the product as he is to building it" Definitely a lesson a lot of the HN crowd (myself included)

That's really interesting. Can you expound on this a little more? I've never done it but am thinking about it so that's why I ask. Were you self conscious? How'd it make you a better programmer? Did you talk out what you

I love the "don't give a F let me broadcast all of it" mentality here. This is amazing. Starting a project much less a business has a lot of ups and downs. Putting a camera on top of you for all of it probably works wonders o

What kind of software did you write that generated interest in a commercial license?

Thanks for the link. One thing I hated about Rails when I tried it was the level of magic involved. Does Phoenix suffer from that at all?

I'm a django guy. I have no experience with functional programming. What would a transition to phoenix + elixir look like for me?

This is awesome. I've used Logitech hardware for the past 15 years and Linux for the past 12. Thank you Logitech and thank you Richard. It's been a long journey but bit by bit, we're getting out of second class status.

Big fan of repl.it. I've been teaching kids how to code for a couple years - count me as fan. Good luck Amjad & Haya!

This is fantastic. I live in the east bay and have close friends in south SJ. The best option thus far has been going to Fremont, taking the 181 bus to downtown SJ, and ridesharing it down. This will shorten that ride.
