Thanks for the interesting reply. I'm curious who "we" is that you reference several time. Do you work for an organization dealing with this problem?

It's not clear to me that the person who we talked to was not who he said he was. It's that the person who showed up was definitely not that person.

I'm not sure how HR has handled it but within a few hours of him starting all of his access was revoked (email, slack, github, etc). I imagine HR fired him but I don't actually know what the official status is.

I have a 10 month old daughter. So far raising her has been an incredibly rewarding experience. My wife and I frequently find ourselves wanting a break. Even if for just a few hours. You can love something and want to dedicate your life to

I spent almost all of my career writing Ruby before I ended up at a company that required me to write mostly Kotlin (a bit of scala here and there too). After a few years of Kotlin I don't want to use anything else. There's a bit

I'm not saying I agree with this but I think the point might be that what's happening now isn't completely out of the ordinary but we're being made to believe that it is.

I never understand the arguments against high pay for professional athletes. They are largely union organized labor. Their pays is directly tied to how much money their league is bringing in in revenue (mostly TV deals). If they don't
