Likely because your original comment did not add value to the discussion and you're asking about downvotes. Both are mentioned in the Guidelines and FAQ.

This has always been something I thought would be interesting to pursue. There's quite a bit of science involved when replanting a forest. It's much more than just scattering seeds.

Kotlin is my favorite JVM language by far, it's like Scala-lite. It has great tools thanks to IntelliJ. It's great how easily you can substitute Kotlin for Java in most projects, doing so with Dropwizard was quite easy: https:&

Would be nice to have a note on the homepage indicating that this project has since been abandoned.

"Woe is me." — Notch. Are we being serious? Complaining about your wealth, high roller lifestyle, and fancy destinations doesn't garner much sympathy. Is it really a surprise that he is "alone"? Notch rose to pop

I often wonder/worry that these sort of "bailouts" and acquisitions reward founders for poor decision making.

That's great. Is it possible to add additional servers after installation? I looked into the CLI project but I haven't found anything yet, the scale option appears to be for processes not servers.

The development team has always been very friendly and welcoming. I suspect that they didn't have time for someone who was interested in "arguing" with them. Since Kotlin can leverage JVM libraries, why not use Google Gauva?

I've been using Kotlin on-and-off as a Java replacement and I've really enjoyed it. A couple of months ago I used Kotlin to setup a Dropwizard project and it was a breeze so I put together an example on GitHub to serve as a starti

I'd like to know this too. The few places I've worked that hired from these schools quickly let folks go and never went back. I know a few left tech altogether.

For me the lack of available solutions is an opportunity to contribute back, something that I find can be more difficult with established projects.

Not OP but I've been playing with both Elixir and Phoenix recently and I must say it's been pleasant. With experience in Ruby (and Rails) and an understanding of FP I was able to dive right in.
