The example algebraic data type isn't an algebraic data type at all. It's a single type with a single type constructor. How is this different from a regular class?

I'd be curious to see the full source code. A memory leak from an owned pointer should be impossible unless you're using `unsafe` somewhere in your code or in a library you're pulling in.

Well that's just good practice. Apps would normally ask you to log in once, receive an API token from the server, and continue to use that for the rest of the tokens lifetime. When the token expires, it'll prompt you again for you

I wasn't, but I guess this is the only solution. The biggest reason I didn't unit test was that most of my functions were dependent on a significant amount of internal state. I suppose I should have spent more time coming up with

I've used some example architectures in the past while making a relatively small but very detail-oriented Flask app. I found that testing was a nightmare because my errors were only triggered on runtime. So I ended up having to manuall

I spoke to a guy who does pentesting and vuln finding for a living. He told me that if I'm interested in doing the same thing, I'd be better off doing a little reversing work and then going into open-source analysis as soon as pos

What did the semaphore usage look like? Did it use pub/sub or something else? Also what encryption algorithm are you using on your cookies. I ask because certain algorithms produce malleable ciphertexts, which could potentially be a hu

I've never heard of a single institution specifying the kind of the diversity that they want. Just "diversity". What about intellectual diversity? Why doesn't Harvard accept people from a diverse range of SAT scores? It

If anyone is curious, as of C++14 you can `move` variables into a lambda scope (like Rust's move ||) as follows Foo foo; // Foo implements a move constructor auto l = [cap = std::move(foo)](){ do_stuff(cap);} /

When you use primes for your modulo, you get unique representation. This is a result of the Chinese remainder theorem. If my key is k, then calculating k mod 2 k mod 3 k mod 5 ... k mod 29 uniquely determines k mod

I think if you do it this way you can extend the tree without recalculating all the entries. I can just add the next prime to the list of primes.

Not at all. Rust gives programmers the ability to use shared state or channels at their discretion. The traits Send and Sync were made specifically for these use cases. Rust just guarantees that you can't use these primitives in an uns
