It's worth pointing out that the Daily Express is a British tabloid with a not-exactly-stellar reputation for journalistic integrity. I'm sure there is some substance to the article, but I wouldn't be inclined to take it at face value. ( h

I love the idea, but I'd prefer to be able to use my own images and music. I suppose the hard part is the categorization of the content, but perhaps that could be crowdsourced.

I agree, the www subdomain looks awkward and unwieldy. They should make hackerne.ws the canonical name. Though they'll have to be sure to set their geographic target to the US in Google Webmaster Tools, unless Y Combinator has moved to West

Acid3 seems to be the ultimate pipe dream. It could be 5-10 years before the majority of Internet users are using browsers that pass it. Maybe the version of IE released with Windows 7 will pass (IE 9?), but there are still people using IE

I have yet to see free, client-side charting/graphing that works as well as commercial alternatives. We recently started using Flash-based charts called FusionCharts. They're a little expensive, but are well worth it if graphing is a centra

I wouldn't call it unreasonable; just biased. I guess it's hard to be objective, given the pervasiveness of operating systems. I'm sure if I ever succumb to Alzheimer's disease, my grandchildrens' names will be forgotten long before I forge
