The article is about Go, and while the article mentions other languages for comparison, Rust is not one of them. So traceroute66's comment comes across as starting a Rust vs. Go fight where not appropriate.

This is not the Digger that I'm familiar with, which was more of a Mr. Doh clone for the IBM PC back in the 80's.

Ironically, the last time I checked (which was some number of years ago), TextMate 2.0 did not support the TextMate 1.x theme format, not even via any sort of import or conversion mechanism. Which is odd, considering that it's become a

I used Borland Turbo Pascal back in the '80s and '90s, and as I recall it had separate keywords and syntax for defining procedures vs. functions.

I created this color scheme for my own use nearly 2 years ago, because I literally couldn't find a single existing color scheme that I found satisfactory. I've been happily using it ever since. During my holiday time off in Decemb

My first thought was "why would I want to move a piece of malware to the /bin directory?"

Indeed. I personally never fail to avoid not using "unless", unless there isn't a lack of extra conditions such that not refraining from instead using "if" wouldn't avoid not being less clear.

I think Jonathan Blow's main goal is to make his dream game programming language so that he can be happier while developing all of his future games. Widespread adoption by others is only a secondary concern. He also doesn't want t

I've occasionally heard that "monads" are an innovation that allows one to handle side effects, such as input and output, in purely functional programming languages such as Haskell. But whenever I've read an article or b

"In a statement issued to Newsweek magazine, KFC Germany blamed the message on a bot." Blaming a bot is always a cop-out. It should be blamed on whoever made the decision to deploy a bot in the first place.

It is called "Free Software" because the software is free (liberated, unconstrained), not you. You are "obligated" to keep the software free.

Unless you're on a Mac, in which case just use Menlo, which is already installed. Menlo and DejaVu Sans Mono are both descendants of Bitstream Vera Sans Mono, and are nearly identical. (And where they differ, Menlo is superior IMHO.)
